Tamarind

Tamarind, also known as Tamarind Indica by its botanical name, is mentioned in Ayurveda as a very nutritious food. Tamarind can be added to food as a spice as well as a fruit. Endemic to South India, Tamarind is found in India, Pakistan, Burma, Bengal and Sri Lanka. The spikes of the huge Tamarind tree ripen and fall to the ground. It is also very beneficial and can be mixed with a little ginger and drunk.


Begining Of Tamarind

It is generally accepted that Tamarind may have originated in tropical Africa. It is believed that the tamarind tree may have been propagated to South Asia by humans during prehistoric times. Climate and Soil
